A huge hike in the price of fuel products in the TRNC is on the government's agenda.
According to reports making the rounds on Thursday, the fuel Unit has suggested a 5.40 TL increase in 95 and 98 octane gasoline.
Brent oil prices and the changes in foreign exchange has continued to affect fuel prices in recent times.
The proposal for a record hike in fuel prices will be one of the agenda items at the Council of Ministers meeting of the newly formed UBP-DP-YDP government when they meet again..
If the Council of Ministers approves the proposal, a liter of 95 and 98 octane gasoline prices will exceed 23.50 TL.

On April 14, 2022, fuel prices were last increased by 70 kurus per liter.
