Randy man arrested for sexually harassing students in school bus in Lefkosa

A 27-year-old man who is in the habit of sexually harassing female students inside school bus in Lefkosa has been arrested for the second time.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday in relation to the harassment issue in Lefkosa and was taken to an EU court on Thursday.

Police said the suspect in March 2022, sexually assaulted a student who inside a bus belonging to the Near East University in Lefkosa but the incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, April, 13.

Police said the complaint recognized the suspect from old news stories and filed a complaint.

Police officer who testified in court said the suspect identified only as A.B had faced trial in the past for the same crime.

The suspect was arrested in 2018 for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old girl inside a university bus. He was tried and fined at the time.

Police said 3 other victims have testified against him while an attempt has been made to identify other individuals who declared that they were harassed by the suspect.
