Man and his friend allegedly sexually assault his two sons, aged 4 and 8 in Girne

A 47-year-old man and his 55-year-old friend will face trial for allegedly sexually assaulting his two sons, aged 4 and 8 in Girne.

The incident was reported to the police on Monday, April, 4 which led to their arrest. They were taken to a court in Girne on Tuesday.

The mother of the boys who is the wife of one of the suspect and is in the process of divorcing her husband said her husband and his friend sexually assaulted their 4 and 8 year old boys.

Police said an investigation was launched upon the complaint, and they talked to the children in the presence of social workers and the two suspects.

It was revealed that one of the suspect repeatedly touched his genitals and stroked his buttocks.

Police stated that the children made their first complaint to their guidance teacher, and then they took the teacher's statement. 

The 8-year-old, while describing his experiences told his counselor, “My father and his friend touch my and my brother's private parts. I don't want to go to my father's."

The school counselor told the 8-year-old boy's father and friend about the incident.

The suspects did not accept the accusations.

Police said they would take statements from 11 people and that the number of people to be interviewed may increase, the police demanded that the suspects be detained for 3 days for investigation purposes.
