Today is International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day! A also also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. The day is celebrated annually on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history across the world and also throws the spotlight on women and their rights.

Shout out to all the goodwill, caring and hard working women out there. Women are a special people who deserve the most special place in our hearts. Women are meant to be loved, respected, treated kindly and cherished. They hold a special place in our life that no other can fill. Oh what a wonderful creature they are.

It is no doubt that that the world will not be complete with out women. And because of the role played by women in all spheres of life, they more than deserved to be honored and celebrated.

The day trace its origins to activist movements in the early 1900s and was first codified by the United Nations during International Women’s Year in 1975.
