Pork and chicken prices set to increase in south Cyprus by over 20%

Pork and chicken prices in the south of Cyprus will increase as from Monday next week due to the financial crisis sparked by the war in Ukraine.

Pork will be 20% more expensive while chicken prices are set to go up by 23%. As for lamb, a possible 12% price rise is expected.

The consequences of the war in Ukraine is already being felt around the world and at the moment, raw materials such as cereals and fuel has increased by 70%.
