Man rapes girlfriend’s male child in south Cyprus

A 60-year-old man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for raping the 6-year-old-child of his girlfriend.

The Limassol Permanent Criminal Court passed the sentence on the accused on Wednesday,

The 60-year-old man admited his guilt to all charges most of which have to do with sexual abuse of child younger than 13. 

The Criminal Court referred to the seriousness of the offences which have affected the personality and psychology of the victim.

According to the victim who is now 20-year-old, the accused man had been sexually abusing him from the age of 6 until 15. As reported the accused was taking advantage of his relationship with the boy’s mother and the latter’s trust in him.
