Quake of 5.3 magnitude rattles Cyprus on Wednesday morning
A 5.3 magnitude earthquake rattled the island on Wednesday morning, the Cyprus geological survey department said.
The quake was recorded around 5.21am and was felt in various areas around the island. The earthquake was also felt from about 100 kilometers away from Antalya, and, Alanya in Turkey.
The epicentre was located in the sea 160km northwest Polis Chrysochous at a depth of 80km.
The geological survey department is monitoring.
