1586 chickens died due to the earthquake in Cyprus

Some 1586 chickens stepped on each other and died in a unit at Kallepeia village, southern Cyprus during the earthquake that happened in Cyprus on Tuesday morning.

The owner of the unit informed the Veterinary Service.

Officials said that during the earthquake the chickens tried to gather in one side of the coop and as a result they stepped on each other and died of asphyxiation causing damages to the owner of the farm.
