Turkish Lira hits new record against the Dollars, Pounds and Euro
The Turkish Lira continues its downwards trend on Monday as it hit a new record against foreign currencies.
The TL started the first day of trading on Monday, at 17.90, against the US dollar, 23.85 against Pounds Sterling and 20.55 against the Euro.
Following the fall of the TL against the dollar, gold prices rose to 1,000 TL per gram.
Turkish President Erdogan this weekend, said he intended to continue his policy of low interest rates adding: "Don’t expect anything else from me. As a Muslim, I will continue to do whatever it takes. This is the rule".
