TRNC government introduces Ada Card for students in the island
Ada Card, a kind of credit card for students in the island introduced by the TRNC government within the scope of the Student Friendly Island Project, was made available to the students on Wednesday.
The card was presented at an event held at the ministry on Wednesday.
The event was attended by the Minister of National Education and Culture Olgun Amcaoğlu, the General Manager of the Cooperative Central Bank Kemal Ataman, the Director of the Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department Dr. Ziya Öztürkler and some students.
The card was implemented by the Ministry of National Education and Culture with the Cooperative Central Bank in order to provide discounts for university students studying in the country and TRNC citizens studying abroad.
In his speech, Minister of National Education and Culture Olgun Amcaoğlu said that they are happy to offer the cards, which have many advantages, to the use of students within the framework of the Student Friendly Island Project.
Stating that they see all students studying in the country as their own children, Amcaoğlu stated that with this internationally valid card, students will have the chance to use it with their advantages in every part of the world.
Noting that the card made available for use is a very important result they have achieved as a result of long and hard work, Amcaoğlu said, "We will continue to provide all kinds of support to our students during their education."
At the end of his speech, Amcaoğlu said, "We have always had our students at the center of the project, which was implemented by two distinguished institutions of the state," and expressed that they had the chance to offer this important product to the use of students, and thanked everyone who contributed to the realization of the project and wished it good luck.
In his speech, Kemal Ataman, General Manager of the Cooperative Central Bank, stated that they are very proud to take part in this project as a bank that provides solutions and provides services alongside the state.
Stating that as Koopbank, they have carried out many pioneering and exemplary works in the field of financial technologies, Ataman said that they were excited and happy to bring the Ada Card, which they created within the framework of the Student Friendly Island project, to the students.
Expressing that as a bank, they have mobilized all their resources to provide financial advantages to students studying at home and abroad, Ataman pointed out that Ada Card bring many advantages to students, and wished that the card would be beneficial to the country and students.
At the end of the speeches, Ada Cards were presented to the students.

With Ada Card, students will be
able to gain discounts from their Ada Card purchases at contracted
workplaces, benefit from various campaigns, and make their payments by
scanning the QR code with the latest technology on their mobile phones.
In
addition to withdrawing money from ATMs and branches with Ada Card,
students will be able to instantly send money from Hepi Student mobile
wallets to all other Hepi Student users only via their mobile phone
number.
In the project, where students studying abroad are also
considered, commission payments for withdrawals abroad will be covered
by Koopbank.
