Record number of 666 new cases of coronavirus reported in TRNC on Friday

The TRNC will be ending the year with a very high number of coronavirus cases as a record number of cases were recorded on Friday, December, 31, 2021, with 666 new cases reported, bringing the total number of cases so far to 35,983.

15,137 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 666 new cases were confirmed.

Among the cases, 40 persons came in contact with previous cases who are under surveillance, and 626 were local cases.

Of the cases, 260 were from Lefkosa, 134 from Kyrenia, 160 from Famagusta, 23 from Güzelyurt, 26 from Lefke, and 23 from Iskele.

147 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
