MMA fighter has testicle removed after it ruptured during training session

An MMA fighter had to have a testicle removed following an injury in training. 

Christian Lohsen, who currently has a 9-2-0 professional record in the sport, shared the unfortunate news on Instagram, posting: 'So last night was tough... in a training accident I got my left testicle ruptured by a knee which led to it getting surgically removed. 

'If I lose the other one however, it's a different story, so from now on, if you hit me in my last testicle, we aren't friends... lol #NoNutNovember #OneBallWonder #MMAIsADangerousGame #TookNoNutNovemberWayTooFar'.

Former UFC fighter Mike Perry responded: 'Oh my gosh man. Your sacrifices will be rewarded. They have to be.'

Another former UFC competitor, Ben Saunders, wrote: 'Dude, sending you positivity in abundance'.

In response to the well-wishers and press attention following his original post, Lohsen wrote: 'First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for your well wishes.
