Congo national stabbed to death in south Cyprus
A 28-year-old man from Congo was fatally stabbed late on Monday following an altercation outside a kiosk in the Nicosia suburb of Engomi, south Cyprus.
The incident took place around 10:00pm on Monday night in front of a kiosk near a bakery in the Parisinos area, south Cyprus.
Police were called to the scene, where they found the victim lying unconscious on the ground with stab wounds on his back. He was pronounced dead by ambulance staff.
Greek Cypriot police said two men, aged 25 and 36, also from Congo involved in the incident have been arrested.
The two men got into an altercation that turned physical, with the victim eventually being stabbed in the back and falling to the ground.
They were remanded in custody for eight days
on Tuesday as part of investigations into the premeditated murder of a
28-year-old man.
