TRNC authorities raise fuel and domestic gas prices
Price increases for fuel and domestic bottled gas in North Cyprus has been approved by the Council of Ministers.
The Undersecretary for the Ministry of Economy and Energy Şahap Aşıkoğlu, met with Ministry of Finance officials on Tuesday and announced that they had decided the fuel and bottled gas price increases and sent them to the Council of Ministers for approval.
The Fuel Unit, which determines figure for fuel prices every 15 days, submitted its proposal to the Council of Ministers.
Accordingly, 95 Octane Unleaded Gasoline sold at 7.84 TL rose to 8.80 TL, 98 Octane Unleaded Gasoline sold at 7.99 TL rose to 8.96 TL, Euro Diesel sold at 7.30 TL rose to 8.44 TL and Kerosene at 7.27 TL rose to 8.39 TL.
Accordingly, the new prices are as follows:
Unleaded 95 Octane: 8.80 TL
Unleaded 98 Octane: 8.94 TL
Euro Diesel: 8.44 TL
Kerosene: 8.39 TL
Here are the old prices:
Unleaded 95 Octane: 7.84 TL
Unleaded 98 Octane: 7.99 TL
Euro Diesel: 7.30 TL
Kerosene: 7.27 TL
Also, there was a 33 TL hike in domestic 10-kilogram bottled gas.
The sales price of cylinder gas was increased from 107 TL to 140 TL.
The
decision of the Council of Ministers has been published in the Official
Gazette and will enter into force as of midnight tonight.
Last week there was a shortage of fuel at the pumps because fuel wholesalers were demanding a rise in prices and withheld supplies.
