Six people caught trying to enter south Cyprus illegally

Six people who were trying to enter south Cyprus illegally from North Cyprus were caught and arrested by Turkish Cypriot police.

The 6 suspects were caught in Alayköy, at about 6:50 am on Tuesday, October, 26 while they were trying to cross over to south Cyprus by violating the firsrt degree military forbidden zone.

They were arrested and brought to court on Wednesday for violating a forbidden zone.

Police said the suspects were found to be without a residence permit in the country.

One of the suspects identified as M.N.A came to the country by boat.

They were sent to the Central Prison for a period not exceeding 1 month until their trial.
