Man drowns in sea after trying to save wife from drowning

A man who attempted to save his wife from drowning in the sea in Bafra has drowned.

59-year-old İlhan Elveren had entered the sea to save34-year-old Arzu Elveren, who was in danger of drowning in the sea in Bafra Hotels Region when he drowned.

The incident happened at about 1:00pm on Saturday. 

Arzu Elveren was rescued by another person and taken out of the sea. Ilhan Elveren, who was taken out by the same person, could not be saved despite all the interventions made by the medical teams.  

The investigation continues.”
