Man arrested for squeezing a young woman's hip in Lefkosa

A young man has been arrested for allegedly squeezing the hip of a young woman walking in front of him in Lefkosa.

The suspect identified only as V.K, committed the act at about 4:30pm on Sunday October, 10. He was taken to a court in Lefkosa on Monday for sexual assault.

Police officer who testified in court said the suspect sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman, who was walking in front of him in City Center in Lefkosa by squeezing her hips.  

Following the suspect arrest, the incident was detected in camera recordings.

Court judge, ordered the suspect to be released on bail pending trial on the condition that he be banned from going abroad, report to the police once a week, deposit 5 thousand TL in cash, and 2 guarantors to sign 50 thousand TL bail bonds.
