Frightening accident in Lefkosa: Driver hit pedestrian

A 25-year-old man crashed his car into a ditch in Lefkosa after losing control of the vehicle due to carelessness.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon on the Near East Boulevard in Lefkosa.

The driver of the car, identified as Göycıncık, 25 lost control of the vehicle as a result of carelessness and then hit a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk, before crashing into a ditch.

Police said he recklessly entered the Near East round about and lost control of the vehicle.

The pedestrian who was slightly injured as a result of the accident was taken to the hospital for medical attention at the Near East Hospital.
