Turkish Cypriot police warns of fake money in circulation

Two people were found to have placed counterfeit 50 dollar bills on the market in Kyrenia, between Tuesday, September, 14 and Wednesday, September, 15.

Police issued a warning about counterfeit money with a total value of 2 thousand, 100 hundred dollars.

Taking into account the possibility that these counterfeit bills may have been released beforehand, the police investigates banks, foreign exchange companies, financial institutions, markets and citizens, as well as individuals and institutions that hold 50 US Dollars of foreign currency. 

They were asked to be very careful and to report suspects to the nearest police station.
