1 killed and 4 injured in accident in Küçük Kaymaklı Lefkosa

One person was killed and 4 people were injured in an accident that occurred in Küçük Kaymaklı, Lefkosa on Thursday evening.

The unfortunate incident happened at about 8:15pm on Thursday near Jumbo shopping center, on Özker Özgür Caddesi, Küçük Kaymaklı, Lefkosa when a car driven by Nagehan Şentürk, 53 entered the road carelessly from the shopping center and collided with another car on the road driven by Mehmet Behai Pınardan, 22.

42-year-old Ali Gökhan Demirbilek who was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Nagehan Şentürk died at the scene while 4 other people, including 2 children, were injured in the same vehicle.

The injured were taken to the hospital.

Police said the driver of the second car, Mehmet Behai Pınardan was found to have 143 mlg of alcohol in his system.

Mehmet Behai Pınardan was arrested.

According to report, Mehmet Behai Pınardan, has recently had his license confiscated for drunk driving.
