Government extends students driving license validity period

The validity period of student driving licenses in the TRNC has been extended until October 31st without any charge.

According to the Decree with the Force of Law published in the Official Gazette, students whose driving licenses expire between March 15, 2020 and October 31, 2021 due to Covid-19 will be able to extend their student licenses without paying a fee until October 31.

The application and payment period for the overdue premium debts of the insured who are covered by the Cyprus Turkish Social Insurance Law has also been extended. While the application period for overdue premium debts was extended from January 30, 2021 to October 8, 2021, with the Decree with the Force of Law, the payment period of the pre-payment for advance payment or installment payment was extended from February 26 to December 20.

A similar decree with the force of law was issued for the insured under the Social Security Law and the periods were extended in the same way.
