62-Year-old had an heart attack before accident

It has been reported that 62-year-old Ali Barışer who died in an accident that happened in Famagusta on Wednesday evening suffered a heart attack before the accident.

Ali Barışer, a resident of Famagusta was driving on Abant Street at about 5:25pm on Wednesday, when he went off the road and crashed onto a car parked by the side of the road. 

The accident happened when he got to an interception and was unable to stop the car. He lost control of the steering and hit the pavement and concrete embankment and then crashed onto a car parked at the side of the road. He died at the scene of the accident.

Police in its report on Thursday, said an autopsy carried out showed that the cause of death was "as a result of a heart attack he had just before the accident. He died as a result of chest and rib fractures and internal organ bleeding due to a traffic accident," said the report.  

Investigation into the incident continues.”
