Only vaccinated people can enter government institutions in TRNC without the need of a PCR
Those who have been vaccinated in the TRNC will be able to enter government institutions and closed areas without providing PCR tests and those who have not been vaccinated will have to provide a PCR test or a rapid test that is valid for 72 hours.
This was made known in an announcement by TRNC Prime Minister, Ersan Saner on Monday.
Saner said that 172 thousand people had received their first dose of the vaccine while 145 thousand people had received both doses.
Referring to the recommendations made by the Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases Saner said that in order to prevent the spread of the virus in the country, those who have been vaccinated will be able to enter state institutions and closed areas without providing PCR tests but added that those who have not been vaccinated will have to provide a PCR test or a rapid test that is valid for 72 hours.
Explaining that in order to encourage the public to get their COVID-19 vaccinations some additional measures will be taken Saner said that those who have not been vaccinated will have to pay for their PCR tests.
Speaking on education issue, Saner said that in September students will be returning to schools for face to face education and added that 96 percent of teachers have been vaccinated.
