No plan to go on another lockdown in TRNC- Prime Minister
The recent increase in the coronavirus cases in the TRNC will not lead to another closure, said Prime Minister, Ersan Saner.
Saner made the statement on Friday last week, stating that a new closure is not on the government's agenda, and drew attention to the importance of vaccination in this process.
Saner stated that the cases have increased significantly in the world and noted that the TRNC is among the top five countries in the world.Pointing to the importance of vaccination, Saner said that there is no shortage of vaccination in the country and that 150 thousand citizens have been vaccinated with a double dose so far and that the third dose will be passed.
He added that vaccination will pave the way for the country's economy.
He noted that education will start face-to-face in September, and called on teachers who did not complete their vaccinations to complete their vaccinations.
He said there are efforts to encourage vaccination and that the work in this direction has reached the final stage adding that closing again is not on the agenda.
