63-Year-old man sexually assault 16-year-old in Lefkosa

A 63-year-old man was sent to prison for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old sexually in Lefkosa.

The suspect identified as, Menderes Bozlar, 69 committed the crime in July but was reported to the police on August, 23, 2021. 

He was taken to a court in Lefkosa on charges of sexual assault of a minor. 

Police sergeant who testified in court, said in July, the the suspect took the minor to an empty place on the old Palace street in Lefkosa where he deliberately squeezed her right hand and left breast committing a crime of sexual assault against her will.  

The incident was reported to the police on August, 23 and the suspect was arrested on the same date as per a pending order. 

The police said that the complainant stated that the suspect had texted him on the phone, and that the phone records should be examined.

The police demanded that the suspect be detained for 3 days, saying that there were statements to be taken and persons to be investigated.
