TRNC announces new measures, PCR/Rapid test now required for almost all indoor activities or entertainment

The TRNC Ministry of Health on Thursday announced its latest decisions concerning COVID-19 measures following the recent surge in cases.

According to the latest decisions which will come into force as of Monday, July 12, valid PCR or rapid tests will be required for indoor spaces.

-Fully vaccinated (two doses or single dose vaccines) customers checking into hotels or casinos will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last seven days.

-Customers who are not vaccinated will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours.

-Restaurants, patisseries, cafes and taverns will continue to serve customers indoors or outdoors at a maximum of one third of their seating capacity.

-Customers wishing to dine indoors will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last seven days.

-Customers who are not vaccinated will be required to present a negative PRC or rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours.

-Bars and clubs will continue to serve customers indoors and outdoors at a maximum of one third of their seating capacity.

-Customers wishing to enter such venues will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last seven days.

-Customers who are not vaccinated will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours.

-The same procedure will apply to traditional coffee shops, cafeterias and social clubs.

-While professional actors, singers, performers and artists will be allowed to continue rehearsing or performing in line with hygiene rules, plays, performances, exhibitions and concerts will be carried out at one third capacity.

-Members of the audience will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test before entering venues of such events.

-Spectators for indoor or outdoor sporting activities will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test.

-All guests at weddings, engagement parties or similar gatherings will be required to wear face masks. The holding of such events indoors is forbidden.

-There will be no physical contact during exchange of congratulations or well wishes.

-Mass worship will be carried out within the framework of social distancing, wearing face masks and hygiene rules at one third capacity of the place of worship.

-Those attending ceremonies will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last seven days.

-Worshippers who are not vaccinated will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours.
