More than 1.5 tons of drugs seized in operation between Syria and north Cyprus
Turkish security forces have seized more than 1.5 tons of drugs on board a ship after launching an operation on a ship in international waters between Syria and Northern Cyprus.
According to the report by Yeniduzen, more than 1.5 tons of drugs came out of the ship, which was intervened in the open between Syria and Karpaz, in Northern Cyprus.
In a statement by Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu on social media account, he said:
Coast Guard, Police; Narcotic-Aviation UAV-Special Operations units have achieved great success in international waters off the coast of Syria. More than 1.5 tons of cannabis were seized on the vessel that was intervened.
