Erdogan to visit north Cyprus on July 20
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday announced that he will be visiting the TRNC on July 20, 2021 to mark the anniversary of the Turkish intervention in Cyprus.
Erdogan told Turkish daily Sabah that, barring any expected developments, he will be in the northern Cyprus on July 20, for the “anniversary of peace and freedom day”.
Speaking on the Cyprus issues, Erdogan said Turkey would not let northern Cyprus be harassed by the Greek Cypriots while the withdrawal of the Turkish troops was out of the question adding that Turkey will defend the rights of the Turkish Cypriots’ to the end.
