1 Death and 44 new cases of coronavirus were reported in TRNC on Saturday, 30 are local cases

One death and 44 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Saturday which brings the total number of deaths there so far to 32 and cases to 6,282.

6,319 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 44 new cases were confirmed.

17 of the cases came are those who came in contact with previous cases who are under surveillance, and 27 were local cases.

One person was taken out of intensive care unit.

Of the cases, 13 were from Lefkosa, 10 from Kyrenia, and 4 from Famagusta.

80 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.  

A 59-year-old male patient who was being treated in in intensive care unit since April 27, 2021, died on Saturday.  

The patient had extensive metastasis cancer, chronic renal failure, and epilepsy.
