TRNC foreigners' work permits are exempt from preliminary leave until 30 June
The regulation regulating the work permits of foreigners was amended, allowing foreign employees in the country to have their procedures exempt from pre-leave until June 30.
With the "Regulation on Work Permits of Foreigners (Amendment)" published in the current issue of the Official Gazette, article 30 of the main regulation was amended.
The changes are as follows:
"Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the border gates were closed on March 14, 2020 and the country was unable to enter and exit the country due to the restriction of entry and exit,
(A) Persons who stay in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with a residence permit, but are outside the scope of paragraphs (1), (2) and (5) of Article 30 of the Articles of Association,
(B) Persons who worked less than 6 months in their last workplace, whose work permit was canceled and whose legal period of 40 days after the date of cancellation expired on or after 14 March 2020,
(C) Persons who graduated from the school with a Student Immigration Permit and / or terminated their relationship with the school and whose legal term of 60 days expired on or after 14 March 2020,
(D) Those who entered the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with a tourist visa and whose visa expiration date expires on or after 14 March 2020, can be exempted from pre-permission until 30 June 2021, by accepting the date of application to the Office and the starting date. "
