Russian prisoner accused of robbery, rape and sexual assault arraigned in court
Russian prisoner, Alexander Satlaev has been arraigned in court on charges of robbery, rape and sexual assault but did not accept any of them.
The former Russian Police Inspector who escaped from the Central Prison in Lefkosa earlier in the year where he was detained on charges of robbery and rape and caught 3 days later as a result of searches, was arraigned in court on Friday last week.
A lawyer was appointed on his behalf.
The defendant was arrested for raping, sexually assaulting and battering a 17-year-old girl in Kyrenia in 2019.
The defendant did not accept any of the crimes of robbery, rape and sexual assault.
The court postponed the defendant's case to a later date.
