Night-time curfew in North Cyprus will be between 9:00pm and 5:00am from today
In a new decision announced by the government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus last week, night time curfew across the country will be from 9:00pm to 5:00am starting from Monday, April, 19, 2021.
The decision was taken in accordance with the recommendations of the Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases in which a number of changes were made in light of the latest epidemiological situation.
Accordingly, the night-time curfew will be between 9:00pm and 5:00am.
The changes which came into effect as of today will be valid until Monday, the 26th of April.
A full-day curfew will be in place on Sunday, the 25th of April.
Only pharmacies, petrol stations and bakeries (production only) will be allowed to open on the day.
Supermarkets will be open between 7:00am and 8:00pm during the weekdays.
Sectors which are open on Saturday, the 24th of April will be required to close by 6p:00m.
Should the current epidemiological situation deteriorate by mid-week, restaurants and eateries will only be allowed to remain open for delivery or takeaway services on Saturday, the 24th of April.
Mass worship at mosques or mass iftar (fast-breaking dinners) are not allowed until further notice.
