Drunk driver involved in deadly accident in Lefkosa

A 25-year-old foreigner who was involved in an accident in Lefkosa on Wednesday is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. 

The accident happened at about 6:50 am close to Alpet petrol station on Wednesday at Dr Fazıl Küçük Boulevard in Lefkosa when the drunk driver lost control of the steering, hit the traffic light pole and overturned the car on its roof.

The driver who is a student in the country was injured in the accident and rushed to the Lefkosa State hospital for treatment. 

Police said he was drunk and had 410 promilo of alcohol in his system.
