Zim student arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after an accident

A Zimbabwean student has been arrested and being investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol that resulted in an accident.

The accident happened at about 5:40pm on Thursday along the Lefkosa - Kyrenia high way.

According to police report, the 25-year-old student who was under the influence of 215 mg of alcohol was driving from Lefkosa to Kyrenia when he lost control of the steering while trying to bend a corner and in the process hit the roadside barriers.

No one was injured in the accident.

The student was arrested following the incident.
