We do not want to be forced to closed down the country again -TRNC Prime Minister

The TRNC Prime Minister, Ersan Saner has called on the general public to abide by coronavirus rules and measures in the country as the government does not want to be forced to close down the country again.

Ersan Saner made the statement during a joint press conference regarding the Vaccination Information System with the Health Minister Ünal Üstel on Wednesday.

Ersan said they do not want to be forced to close down the country anymore and therefore called on everyone to abide by COVID-19 rules and measures. 

The Prime Minister noted that another lockdown will lead to significant economic losses in the country.

He also stated that the government are continuing their efforts to bring more students to the country. 

He explained that they have obtained 100 thousand vaccines and have been given reassurances that they will arrive in time adding that once the vaccines arrives, the online appointment system will come into effect and those who want to be vaccinated will be able to make an appointment through the online system.  

The Vaccination Information System will allow for planning to take place, track the vaccination process and pre-organize appointments was revealed to the public today.
