Turkish Cypriot Police deliver food aid to needy students
The Turkish Cypriot Police Members Association extended it's hand of fellowship to students in the island by proving food aid to them.
To mark this year's International Working Women's Day, celebrated every March, 8, the Turkish Cypriot Police Members Association instead of sharing flowers to its women members, decided to deliver food aid to African students in the country at the request of it's female members.
The gesture is to support African students in the country who are in a difficult situation due to the pandemic.
A statement from the Association reads;
As the CYPRUS TURKISH POLICE MEMBERS ASSOCIATION, we used to send flowers to our female police officers who are members of our association every March 8, International Working Women's Day. Due to the pandemic experienced this year, packages of basic food products were prepared and delivered to our African residents, who are students in our country, with the amount collected by our board members in line with the request from our female members. As our board of directors and female members of the CYPRUS TURKISH POLICE MEMBERS ASSOCIATION, we are happy if we have contributed, even if small, to these difficult conditions in which our country has passed.
This is nice. God bless the police.
