Syrian student arrested for doing illegal transport with car entrusted to him
A Syrian student who carries out pirate transport with the car entrusted to him, has been arrested and detained by the Lefkosa Traffic Authority teams.
Legal action was initiated against the driver who was arrested on Monday, March, 1.
Police said he had no license.
The vehicle with plate number JZ 485, belonging to some one who is currently not in the country has been confiscated while investigation into the matter continue.
The student driver in question was fined 7, 920 TL for the crimes of "driving without a business license, license and without insurance".
According to report by local media, taxi drivers in the country who were been
faced with hard times due to the pandemic and had difficulties in
bringing bread to their homes, were hit by pirate taxi drivers who are
engaged in illegal transportation.
