7 People including 2 British national caught trying to illegally enter south Cyprus

Seven people trying to cross into south Cyprus illegally were caught red handed and handed over to the police.

They include 5 Somali nationals and 2 others who are British nationals.

The group of 5 Somalians were caught in a Military zone at about 8:00pm on Tuesday, March, 23 while the 2 British nationals were caught by police officers while they were trying to cross from the Lokmacı Border Gate to the south of Cyprus on Wednesday, March, 24, 2021.

The suspects were taken to court on Wednesday last week for crimes of "Violating First Degree Military Forbidden Zone and Acting Against Curfew".
