Two injured in accident on the Lefkosa-Famagusta road

Two people were injured in an accident that occurred on the Old Lefkosa - Famagusta Highway on Tuesday night.

According to police report, the accident happened at about 5:00pm on Tuesday. 

Driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, Muhsin BATANSHENAS, 24 was heading towards Famagusta from Lefkosa when he was hit by another driver, Sinan GÜNDOĞDU, 37 who was traveling in the same direction. 

Report say Sinan caused the accident as a result of trying to turn right without giving priority to the vehicles traveling on the main road.

Due to the impact of the collision, the vehicle was thrown and hit a lighting pole on the side of the road. 

The other vehicle left the road and rolled over on its roof.  

Both drivers of vehicles were injured as a result of the accident and taken to Famagusta State Hospital.

Muhsin BATANSHENAS was discharged after his treatment while Sinan GÜNDOĞAN was observed in the Surgery Service after he had a surgery for fracture in the rib bones and lung injury.
