TRNC government sacks Minister of Health, Ali Pilli

The government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has dismissed Health Minister, Ali Pilli, reports said Saturday.

Pilli was replaced by Unal Ustel, who until Saturday was ‘Transport Minister.’

The ‘transport ministry’ went to Resmiye Canaltay, the daughter of former Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu.

The changes have been approved by Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, reports said.

Meanwhile, dismissed Minister, Ali Pilli in an interview with local daily, Yeniduzen, said he was not aware of his dismissal and only knew about it from breaking news.

I don't know which minister was what minister, I don't know which lady was what minister. If I am indeed dismissed, I will not escape disclosure. I will give the necessary answer in the best way, he told Yeniduzen.
