Coronavirusc testing were halted in north Cyprus due to overdemand

Health authorities in North Cyprus were forced to interrupt Covid screenings on Thursday morning after they were overwhelmed by the large number of people wanting to be tested.

According to local daily, Kibris Postasi, testing has been halted after capabilities had been surpassed.

Screenings had been carried out at three centres.

TRNC is dealing with a surge in cases and have imposed lockdowns in a bid to control the spread. Even at that, cases are rising continuously.
