Zim student reportedly stabbed in the neck by a group of Turkish boys in Guzeliyurt

A Zimbabwean student was reportedly stabbed in the neck by an unidentified group of Turkish boys in Guzeliyurt on Tuesday evening.

According to report reaching us, the incident happened at about 8:30pm in Guzeliyurt.

According to the source, trouble started when a group of Turkish boys accosted the victim who was going to a nearby market to get some grocery. 

The unidentified Turkish boys reportedly asked the victim where he's from, which he replied, "Zimbabwe." Just after that, a member of the group stabbed the victim in the neck causing him serious injury to the neck.

He was rushed to the hospital but his current state could not be determined at the time of this report.

We're still awaiting more development on the issue and expect the police to get to the root of this matter and reasons for such an unprovoked attack on a foreigner.
