Yellow Weather Alert: Storms and heavy rain to overwhelm the entire island on Monday night

The Cyprus met office has issued a yellow weather warning for Monday evening until 5:00am on Tuesday.

Storms and rain are forecast to affect the entire island with rainfall reaching 50mm in some places. Showers could last for up to six hours, according to the warning.

The met office has urged people to take extra precautions in forest and mountainous areas. Outdoor activities might also be disrupted by the severe weather, the announcement added.
