1,170 Pfizer vaccines sent to north Cyprus on Monday
The second batch of 1,170 Pfizer vaccine doses was delivered to North Cyprus via south Cyprus on Monday.
The vaccine delivery which was part of vaccines reserved for Cyprus by the EU was arranged through the bicommunal Technical Committee on Health.
Last week, the first batch of 1,080 doses was delivered.
It was announced that they had been used to vaccinate people over 65 years of age at the Nicosia Railway Polyclinic.
Health Minister Dr. Ali Pilli said that the new batch of vaccines will also be given to people over the age of 65, using an appointment system.
The TRNC has also received China’s Sinovac vaccines from Turkey.
