80% of people to be vaccinated in TRNC with vaccine from Turkey

About 80 percent of the people will be vaccinated 500 thousand vaccines that will be brought to the TRNC from Turkey.

TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner, made the announcement  while speaking at the parliament on Monday.

Saner also said that they had been discussing how 30 thousand students will come to the country as part of face to face education in the coming semester. 

Speaking on the spread of coronavirus in the country, the Minister said that new decisions would be taken by the Higher Committee for Contagious Diseases as there was an increase in local transmission cases.

Minister of Health Ali Pilli announced that vaccines against the deadly COVİD 19 virus are expected to arrive to the TRNC by the first week of January and that vaccinations will begin in the middle of the month. 

Pilli linked the increase in local transmission to increase in human movement. 

He called on the public to continue to abide by the rules and regulations in place against the spread of the virus.
