8 New cases of coronavirus reported in TRNC on Monday

8 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Monday which brings the total number of cases there so far to 1,278.

1,851 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 7 new cases were confirmed.

1 of the cases came to the TRNC by sea, 1 case was smuggled into the TRNC and caught on the way to southern Cyprus, 1 came in contact with a previous case who is under surveillance and 5 were local cases.

They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa.

7 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
