10 people arrested for living in the TRNC without a resident permit during police control across the country

No fewer than 10 people living in the TRNC with out a resident permit were arrested and detained by the police over the weekend.

The Lefkosa, Famagusta, Girne, Güzelyurt and İskele Police Directorates carried out public order and traffic control on Saturday.

In Lefkosa, the control was taken to the casino, nightclub, hostel and yacht houses operating.

13 people who were previously banned from entering the casino were identified and arrested and legal action taken against them.  

10 people who were found to be residing in the TRNC without permission were arrested and legal action was taken.  

No negativity was detected during the controls in night clubs.

Further action was taken against 104 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed traffic crimes, and 2 vehicles were banned from traffic.

In Famagusta, no negativity was detected in the betting houses and nightclubs. In control carried out in casinos, a total of 11 people who were prohibited from entering and staying in the casino were detected. 

Further action was taken against 138 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed a crime, and 2 vehicles were banned from traffic.

In Kyrenia, bars, coffee houses, disco and nightclubs operating in Kyrenia were checked and no negativity was detected. In the control carried out in the casinos, a total of 11 people who were prohibited from entering and staying in the casino were detected.

Action was taken against 67 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed a crime, and it was determined that a vehicle driver saved a rape-i tool in his vehicle. Legal action was taken against the person. 

In Guzelyurt, no negativities were detected in bet offices, places where alcoholic beverages were sold, night clubs and coffee houses.

Action was taken against 40 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed a traffic crime, 1 vehicle was banned from traffic.

In Iskele, 2 people who were prohibited from entering or being in the casino.

Action was taken about 81 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed traffic crimes.
