Student hit pedestrian after loosing control of steering in Gonyeli

A car driven by a student reportedly skid off the road at the Gonyeli round about and hit a 19-year-old man walking on foot.

The 19-year-old man was injured in the incident that happened at about 8:00pm at Dr Fazıl Küçük Street in Lefkosa, on Tuesday.

He was taken to the Lefkosa hospital for treatment. 

Police said the driver of the car lost control of the wheels and hit the iron bars on the middle of the road and at the same time hit the 19-year-old who was walking on foot.

The car was slightly damaged in the incident.
