Student arrested for driving without a driving license, insurance and under the influence of alcohol

A student driving without a driving license, insurance and under the influence of alcohol was arrested over the weekend after he was involved in an accident.

The suspect, a Zimbabwean student was arrested at about 10:20pm on Friday after a traffic accident that occurred on Fazıl Küçük Boulevard, in Lefkosa. 

The suspect was taken to court Saturday on charges of driving without a license, alcohol and insurance. 

Police said the suspect was under the influence of 210 migras of alcohol when the rented Opel car he was driving hit a car from behind due to careless driving.  

The police told the court that there was no injury as a result of the accident, but that the suspect was found to be driving without a license, with 210 alcohol alcohol and without insurance.
