Cyprus Weather update: Thunderstorm warning for Sunday

The Cyprus met office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy thunderstorms on Sunday.

Isolated heavy thunderstorms are likely between the hour of 5:00am and 4:00pm on Sunday.

The temperature on Sunday is expected to reach 20 degrees Celsius inland, on the south and east coasts, around 21C along the rest of the coast and around 11 C in the higher mountainous areas.

Isolated showers or storms are expected also on Monday afternoon mainly inland, the mountainous areas and in the west. 

On Monday the temperature is expected to rise and fluctuate around or a little above the seasonal average.
